2 marathons a month apart

As I am recovering from Vancouver Marathon and a recent triathlon, I am boosting my training to Seattle Rock and Roll Marathon (in about 2 weeks). On my way back to training, I had a moment - what was I thinking?

I took 2 weeks off from running but kept yoga and swimming. I restarted training with a 12K, building towards 16K, 28K and 26K last Sunday. My excuse of "I just ran a marathon, therefore...." wasn't cutting anymore. I talked myself back into training and on a beautiful sunny 28K run I understood what I was thinking:

* the joy of being outside during Vancouver spring
* to use the training of one marathon to run the other
* love for challenges
* collect the bling, collect the bling (Seattle medal suppose to be nice)
* Eat babe eat!
* get a mean shirt tan (kidding - I really don't want that)

I am now feeling the drive to take the Seattle hills! And eat fish and chips right after the race - can't forget that!
